Victory Christian Cardinals (Sylva, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Victory Christian Academy Patriots (Gastonia, NC), 61-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Victory Christian upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Tabernacle Christian (Monroe, NC) to play the Ram in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Ram go into the bout with a record of 2-5.

Next up, the Patriots play the New Manna Christian Wind (Marion, NC) in a NCCSA A West Region 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Victory Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Wind go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 50-29 non-league win over Rockwell Christian School (Rockwell, NC).
