Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA), 39-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eastern Montgomery upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Craig County (New Castle, VA) to play the Rockets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Craig County won 40-25 in their recent non-league bout against Bath County (Hot Springs, VA)

Next up, the Green Waves play the Highland Rams (Monterey, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Narrows will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 33-16 non-league win over Bath County (Hot Springs, VA).
