The Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) basketball thwarted the visiting Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA), 21-9 in Friday's non-league contest.
The Gladiators now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bath County for a non-league contest on Monday, January 8. Riverheads will battle a Chargers team coming off a 40-25 non-league loss to Craig County (New Castle, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 2-3.
The Indians (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA). The Little Giants come into the non-league contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Waynesboro was defeated by Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA), 38-31, in a non-league contest.
