With the win, Staunton River upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Northside (Roanoke, VA) to confront the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 3-8.

Next up, the Eagles confront the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Franklin County will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Terriers come into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 50-16 non-league loss to Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA).
