With the win, Monterey Trail upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Kennedy (Sacramento, CA) to clash with the Cougars in a bout on Monday, January 8. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Kennedy won 52-34 in their recent non-league bout against Lincoln (Lincoln, CA)
