Douglas Tigers (Douglas, MA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Whitinsville Christian Crusaders (Whitinsville, MA), 50-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Douglas upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Tigers host Hopedale (Hopedale, MA) to play the Blue Raiders in a bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Blue Raiders go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Hopedale won 41-26 in their recent non-league bout against Nipmuc Regional (Upton, MA)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Sutton/Douglas Sammies (Sutton, MA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Whitinsville Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Sammies go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 51-36 non-league loss to Blackstone-Millville (Blackstone, MA).
