North Carolina High School Basketball - Scotland can't hold off Union Pines

The Union Pines Vikings basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots to 53 in the Vikings non-league victory on Friday.
The Vikings now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Richmond for a contest on Tuesday, January 9. Union Pines will battle a Raiders team coming off a 74-65 league loss to Hoke County (Raeford, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 0-1.
The Fighting Scots (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 3-4 record.
