South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs (Teachey, NC), 50-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, South Lenoir upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host James Kenan (Warsaw, NC) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 1-2.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the North Lenoir Hawks (LaGrange, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Wallace-Rose Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 47-27 non-league win over Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC).
