Academy of Richmond County Musketeers (Augusta, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Morgan County Bulldogs (Madison, GA), 59-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Academy of Richmond County upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Musketeers travel to Cross Creek (Augusta, GA) to play the Razorbacks in a AAA Region 4 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Razorbacks come into the bout with a record of 6-10. Cross Creek lost 68-55 in their recent non-league bout against Dorman (Roebuck, SC)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Salem Seminoles (Conyers, GA) in a AAA Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Morgan County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Seminoles come into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 61-47 non-league win over Mundy's Mill (Jonesboro, GA).
