Covenant Christian Cougars (Conroe, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Allen Academy Rams (Bryan, TX), 59-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Covenant Christian upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Grace Christian Academy (Houston, TX) to play the Eagles in a TAPPS 2A District 6 bout on Saturday, January 7. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 15-10. Grace Christian Academy won 61-58 in their recent league bout against Legacy Christian Academy (Beaumont, TX)

Next up, the Rams play the Legacy Christian Academy Warriors (Beaumont, TX) in a TAPPS 2A District 6 bout, on Saturday, January 7. Allen Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 7-12 record after their 61-58 league loss to Grace Christian Academy (Houston, TX).
