The Anaconda Copperheads (Anaconda, MT) basketball felled the visiting Powell County Wardens (Deer Lodge, MT), 54-45 in Friday's league test.

The Copperheads (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Browning (Browning, MT). The Indians go into the non-league test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Browning thwarted Polson (Polson, MT), 51-47, in a league test.

The Wardens now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Bigfork for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Powell County will encounter a Vikings & Valkyries squad coming off a 74-61 non-league win over Hill City (Hill City, MN). The Vikings & Valkyries record now stands at 7-3.
