The Derry Trojans basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the host Apollo Ridge Vikings to 50 in the Trojans league victory on Friday.
The Trojans now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley for a WPIAL 3A 3 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Derry will battle a Vikings team coming off a 69-52 league loss to Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 3-9.
The Vikings (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA). The Lancers come into the WPIAL 3A 3 contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Deer Lakes dropped by Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA), 48-47, in a league contest.
