Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Northeast Guilford Rams (McLeansville, NC), 75-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Atkins upgrades its record to 3-10 on the campaign. The Camels travel to High Point Central (High Point, NC) to play the Bison in a 3A Conference 46 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Bison come into the bout with a record of 1-14. High Point Central lost 68-32 in their recent league bout against Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC)

Next up, the Rams play the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) in a 3A Conference 46 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Northeast Guilford will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 87-48 non-league loss to Reidsville (Reidsville, NC).
