Georgia High School Basketball - Atkinson County can't hold off Citizens Christian Academy

The Citizens Christian Academy Patriots basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Atkinson County Rebels to 61 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Friday.

The Patriots now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valwood for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Citizens Christian Academy will battle a Valiants team coming off a 71-57 league loss to Southland Academy (Americus, GA). The Valiants record now stands at 6-3.

The Rebels (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA). The Buccaneers enter the non-league contest with a 3-9 record. In their last contest, McIntosh County Academy nudged Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA), 70-19, in a league contest.
