The La Grange Leopards basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Austin Achieve Polar Bears to 53 in the Leopards league triumph on Friday.

The Leopards now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Giddings for a 4A Region III District 22 contest on Tuesday, January 10. La Grange will meet a Buffaloes team coming off a 54-49 league win over Taylor (Taylor, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 15-5.

The Polar Bears (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Smithville (Smithville, TX). The Tigers enter the 4A Region III District 22 contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Smithville ran past Burton (Burton, TX), 59-34, in a non-league contest.
