Texas High School Basketball - Del Valle knocked off by Austin

The Austin Maroons basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Del Valle Cardinals to 40 in the Maroons league triumph on Friday.
The Maroons now sport a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Anderson for a 6A Region IV District 26 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Austin will meet a Trojans team coming off a 71-54 league loss to Dripping Springs (Dripping Springs, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 7-15.
The Cardinals (7-11) will now prepare for their contest against Bowie (Austin, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 6A Region IV District 26 contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Bowie was defeated by Lake Travis (Austin, TX), 51-34, in a league contest.
