The Indians now possess a 5-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sulphur Bluff for a 1A Region III District 24 battle on Tuesday, January 10. Avinger will confront a Bears team coming off a 59-52 league win over Avery (Avery, TX). The Bears record now stands at 10-12.

The Bulldogs (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Leverett's Chapel (Leverett's Chapel, TX). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Leverett's Chapel trounced Tyler Classical Academy (Tyler, TX), 39-30, in a non-league battle.
