Weatherford Kangaroos (Weatherford, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Bell Blue Raiders (Hurst, TX), 58-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Weatherford upgrades its record to 8-13 on the season. The Kangaroos host North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX) to play the Panthers in a 6A Region I District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 17-6. North Crowley won 50-38 in their recent league bout against Boswell (Fort Worth, TX)

Next up, the Blue Raiders play the Boswell Pioneers (Fort Worth, TX) in a 6A Region I District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Bell will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 13-10 record after their 50-38 league loss to North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX).
