Bellevue Tigers (Bellevue, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Calvary Christian Cougars (Covington, KY), 56-16 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bellevue upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Tigers travel to Newport Central Catholic (Newport, KY) to clash with the Thoroughbreds in a District 36 bout on Monday, January 9. The Thoroughbreds go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Newport Central Catholic lost 83-67 in their recent non-league bout against Bracken County (Brooksville, KY)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the St. Patrick Saints (Maysville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Calvary Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-14 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 88-24 non-league loss to Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY).
