Virginia High School Basketball - St. Christopher's holds off Benedictine

January 6, 2023: Richmond, VA 23226

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the St. Christopher's Saints (Richmond, VA) and the visiting Benedictine Cadets (Richmond, VA), saw St. Christopher's's basketball squad hold off Benedictine by a tally of 57-54.

With the victory, St. Christopher's improves its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Woodberry Forest (Woodberry Forest, VA) to confront the Tigers in a VISAA Division I outing on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers go into the outing with a record of 13-1. Woodberry Forest won 68-32 in their recent non-league outing against North Cross (Roanoke, VA)

The Cadets now own a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Saint John Paul the Great Catholic for a non-league outing on Monday, January 9. Benedictine will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 80-60 non-league win over Avalon (Wheaton, MD). The Wolves record now stands at 4-8.
