Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Anchorage Christian Lions (Anchorage, AK), 82-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bettye Davis East Anchorage upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Eagle River (Eagle River, AK) to play the Wolves in a 4A Cook Inlet bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 0-2. Eagle River lost 65-53 in their recent non-league bout against Colony (Palmer, AK)

Next up, the Lions play the Dimond Lynx (Anchorage, AK) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Anchorage Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
