The York Catholic Fighting Irish basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Biglerville Canners to 31 in the Fighting Irish league triumph on Friday.

The Fighting Irish now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holy Ghost Prep for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. York Catholic will battle a Firebirds team coming off a 59-41 non-league win over Bristol (Bristol, PA). The Firebirds record now stands at 4-6.

The Canners (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Hanover (Hanover, PA). The Nighthawks enter the York-Adams 4 contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Hanover was routed by Bermudian Springs (York Springs, PA), 38-34, in a league contest.
