In Friday's league outing, the Booker T. Washington Mighty Bookers (Norfolk, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA), by a margin of 62-31.
The Mighty Bookers (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Manor (Portsmouth, VA). The Mustangs go into the Eastern outing with a 6-6 record. In their last outing, Manor was trounced by Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA), 73-53, in a league outing.
The Comets now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Nandua for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 7. Granby will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 56-14 non-league win over Holly Grove Christian (Westover, MD). The Warriors record now stands at 5-2.
