Texas High School Basketball - Brenham tipped by Montgomery

In Friday's league match, the host Montgomery Bears basketball team scored a tight 37-35 triumph over the Brenham Cubs.

In their next game, the Bears meet the Magnolia Bulldogs (Magnolia, TX) in a 5A Region III District 21 match, on Tuesday, January 10. Montgomery will attempt to move on its 9-12 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 6-16 record after their 57-44 league loss to Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX).

With the defeat, Brenham moves to 12-10 on the year. The Cubs host Magnolia West (Magnolia, TX) to meet the Mustangs in a 5A Region III District 21 match on Tuesday, January 10. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 12-4. Magnolia West won 66-65 in their recent league match against College Station (College Station, TX)
