Centennial Cougars (Franklin, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Brentwood Bruins (Brentwood, TN), 42-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Centennial upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Ravenwood (Brentwood, TN) to play the Raptors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Raptors come into the bout with a record of 10-6. Ravenwood won 53-48 in their recent league bout against Nolensville (Nolensville, TN)

Next up, the Bruins play the Summit Spartans (Spring Hill, TN) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, January 10. Brentwood will attempt to advance on its 7-3 season record. The Spartans go into the test with a 8-9 record after their 64-37 league loss to Independence (Thompson's Station, TN).
