The De La Salle Collegiate Pilots (Warren, MI) basketball nipped the host Brother Rice Warriors (Bloomfield Hills, MI), 38-34 in Friday's league test.

The Pilots (6-2) will now prepare for their test against St. Mary's Prep (Orchard Lake, MI). The Eaglets go into the Catholic Central test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, St. Mary's Prep got by University of Detroit Jesuit (Detroit, MI), 67-64, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to East Kentwood for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Brother Rice will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 47-42 league win over Jenison (Jenison, MI). The Falcons record now stands at 4-0.
