In Friday's league outing, the El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Buhach Colony Thunder (Atwater, CA), by a margin of 77-44.

The Gauchos (10-8) will now prepare for their outing against Golden Valley (Merced, CA). The Cougars go into the Central California Conference outing with a 9-9 record. In their last outing, Golden Valley was trounced by Atwater (Atwater, CA), 79-36, in a league outing.

The Thunder now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they host Central Valley for a Central California Conference outing on Wednesday, January 11.
