Illinois High School Basketball - Kewanee thwarts Bureau Valley

The Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL) basketball knocked off the host Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL), 62-50 in Friday's league test.
The Boilermakers (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL). The Panthers go into the Three Rivers - West test with a 2-6 record. In their last test, Erie-Prophetstown went down by Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL), 63-36, in a league test.
The Storm now own a 4-12 record. They play next when they travel to Reed-Custer for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Bureau Valley will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 77-45 league win over Coal City (Coal City, IL). The Comets record now stands at 12-2.
