Burlington Wildcats (Burlington, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Santa Fe Trail Chargers (Carbondale, KS), 77-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Burlington upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Osawatomie (Osawatomie, KS) to clash with the Trojans in a Pioneer bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Osawatomie lost 63-52 in their recent non-league bout against Iola (Iola, KS)

Next up, the Chargers clash with the Wellsville Eagles (Wellsville, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Santa Fe Trail will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 62-46 non-league win over Anderson County (Garnett, KS).
