Making Waves Academy Marlins (Richmond, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host California Crosspoint Rams (Hayward, CA), 54-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Making Waves Academy upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Marlins host California School for the Deaf (Fremont, CA) to clash with the Eagles in a Bay Counties - General bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-9. California School for the Deaf lost 66-60 in their recent non-league bout against Cristo Rey (San Jose, CA)

Next up, the Rams clash with the Oakland Military Institute Grizzlies (Oakland, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. California Crosspoint will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.
