Lubbock Christian Eagles (Lubbock, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Calvary Academy Lions (Denton, TX), 74-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lubbock Christian upgrades its record to 16-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Temple Christian (Fort Worth, TX) to play the Eagles in a TAPPS 3A District 1 bout on Saturday, January 7. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 6-7. Temple Christian lost 44-42 in their recent non-league bout against Fellowship Academy (Kennedale, TX)

Next up, the Lions play the Trinity Chargers (Midland, TX) in a TAPPS 3A District 1 bout, on Saturday, January 14. Calvary Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record.
