The Cannon County Lions basketball team (Woodbury, TN), dropped 30-21 in Friday's league battle with the host Smith County Owls (Carthage, TN)
The Owls now possess a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Red Boiling Springs for a non-league battle on Monday, January 9. Smith County will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 53-40 league loss to Gordonsville (Gordonsville, TN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-7.
The Lions (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Community (Unionville, TN). The Vikings/Viqueens come into the non-league battle with a 0-17 record. In their last battle, Community dropped by Cascade (Wartrace, TN), 70-47, in a league battle.
