California High School Basketball - Hart thwarts Canyon

January 6, 2023: Newhall, CA 91321

The Hart Indians (Newhall, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting Canyon Cowboys (Canyon Country, CA), 40-28 in Friday's league test.

The Indians (11-7) will now prepare for their test against Valencia (Valencia, CA). The Vikings go into the Foothill test with a 9-9 record. In their last test, Valencia notched a victory over Oak Hills (Hesperia, CA), 82-73, in a non-league test.

The Cowboys now own a 11-9 record. They play next when they travel to Saugus for a Foothill test on Tuesday, January 10. Canyon will encounter a Centurions squad coming off a 70-37 league win over Castaic (Castaic, CA). The Centurions record now stands at 11-8.
