Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers (Joliet, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL), 60-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Joliet Catholic upgrades its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host Lisle (Lisle, IL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 7-9. Lisle lost 47-46 in their recent league bout against Wilmington (Wilmington, IL)

Next up, the Corsairs play the Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes (Woodstock, IL) in a East Suburban Catholic bout, on Saturday, January 7. Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Hurricanes come into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 65-32 non-league loss to Grayslake Central (Grayslake, IL).
