Caruthers Blue Raiders (Caruthers, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Riverdale Cowboys (Riverdale, CA), 46-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Caruthers upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Blue Raiders host Coalinga (Coalinga, CA) to play the Horned Toads in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Horned Toads go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Coalinga won 54-38 in their recent non-league bout against Liberty (Madera, CA)

Next up, the Cowboys play the Yosemite Badgers (Oakhurst, CA) in a Northwest Sequoia bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Riverdale will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Badgers go into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 83-45 league loss to Sierra (Tollhouse, CA).
