The Penquis Valley Patriots (Milo, ME) basketball nipped the visiting Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME), 43-39 in Friday's league test.
The Patriots (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME). The Patriots go into the non-league test with a 5-1 record.
The Red Devils now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Stearns for a C North test on Monday, January 9. Central will encounter a Minutemen squad coming off a 56-31 league loss to Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME). The Minutemen record now stands at 0-5.
