Conant Cougars (Hoffman Estates, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Schaumburg Saxons (Schaumburg, IL), 37-15 in a league bout.

With the win, Conant upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Prospect (Mt. Prospect, IL) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Prospect won 56-55 in their recent league bout against Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL)

Next up, the Saxons clash with the Elgin Academy Hilltoppers (Elgin, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Schaumburg will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 53-46 non-league win over Bowen (Chicago, IL).
