Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Conrad Chargers (Dallas, TX), 57-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Poteet upgrades its record to 6-14 on the season. The Pirates travel to Seagoville (Dallas, TX) to play the Dragons in a 5A Region II District 12 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 5-10.

Next up, the Chargers play the West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX) in a 5A Region II District 12 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Conrad will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Wranglers go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 51-49 league win over North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX).
