The Cottonwood Bears (Cottonwood, AL) basketball knocked off the visiting Wicksburg Panthers (Newton, AL), 81-69 in Friday's league test.
The Bears (3-10) will now prepare for their test against Samson (Samson, AL). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 0-15 record.
The Panthers now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they host Geneva County for a 2A Area 2 test on Tuesday, January 10. Wicksburg will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 70-52 non-league win over Samson (Samson, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-9.
