The Weatherford Christian Lions basketball team (Weatherford, TX), was toppled 71-57 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Covenant Classical Cavaliers (Fort Worth, TX)

The Cavaliers now possess a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Trinity for a TAPPS 3A District 1 battle on Saturday, January 7. Covenant Classical will confront a Chargers team coming off a 58-39 league loss to Fellowship Academy (Kennedale, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 3-17.

The Lions (2-10) will now prepare for their battle against Trinity (Midland, TX). The Chargers come into the TAPPS 3A District 1 battle with a 3-18 record.
