Custer County Cowboys (Miles City, MT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Havre Blue Ponies (Havre, MT), 56-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, Custer County upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to Billings Central Catholic (Billings, MT) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 6-4. Billings Central Catholic won 80-31 in their recent league bout against Park (Livingston, MT)

Next up, the Blue Ponies play the Hardin Bulldogs (Hardin, MT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Havre will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record.
