Davis Pirates (Yakima, WA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wenatchee Panthers (Wenatchee, WA), 79-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Davis upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Pirates travel to Sunnyside (Sunnyside, WA) to play the Grizzlies in a 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 bout on Saturday, January 7. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Sunnyside won 60-48 in their recent league bout against Eastmont (East Wenatchee, WA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Eastmont Wildcats (East Wenatchee, WA) in a 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Wenatchee will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 71-58 league win over Eisenhower (Yakima, WA).
