Dermott Rams (Dermott, AR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Emerson Pirates (Emerson, AR), 70-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Dermott upgrades its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Nevada (Rosston, AR) to play the Blue Jays in a 1A Region 8 bout on Friday, January 13. The Blue Jays come into the bout with a record of 14-1. Nevada won 66-63 in their recent league bout against Hampton (Hampton, AR)

Next up, the Pirates play the Hermitage Hermits (Hermitage, AR) in a 1A Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Emerson will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record.
