Somerset Tech Jaguars (Bridgewater, NJ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting East Brunswick Bears (East Brunswick, NJ), 58-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Somerset Tech upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Dunellen (Dunellen, NJ) to clash with the Destroyers in a Greater Middlesex - Gold bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Destroyers go into the bout with a record of 1-6.

Next up, the Bears clash with the Edison Eagles (Edison, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. East Brunswick will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 70-51 league loss to North Brunswick (North Brunswick, NJ).
