The Ellington Knights basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Granby Memorial Bears to 48 in the Knights league triumph on Friday.

The Knights now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Windsor for a North Central Connecticut contest on Tuesday, January 10. Ellington will battle a Panthers team coming off a 52-46 non-league win over Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.

The Bears (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT). The Highlanders enter the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Northwestern Regional ran past Gilbert (Winsted, CT), 54-29, in a league contest.
