Festus Tigers (Festus, MO) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Seckman Jaguars (Imperial, MO), 53-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Festus upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Hillsboro (Hillsboro, MO) to play the Hawks in a Jefferson County - Large bout on Friday, January 13. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 3-3.

Next up, the Jaguars play the Mehlville Panthers (St. Louis, MO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Seckman will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
