Texas High School Basketball - Gold-Burg can't hold off Forestburg

The Forestburg Longhorns basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Gold-Burg Bears to 47 in the Longhorns league triumph on Friday.
The Longhorns now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Saint Jo for a 1A Region III District 22 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Forestburg will battle a Panthers team coming off a 61-24 league win over Gold-Burg (Bowie, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 14-8.
The Bears (0-8) will now prepare for their contest against Prairie Valley (Nocona, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 1A Region III District 22 contest with a 10-12 record. In their last contest, Prairie Valley was nudged by Midway (Henrietta, TX), 51-24, in a league contest.
