Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Fraser Ramblers (Fraser, MI), 60-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Utica upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Chieftains host Utica Ford (Sterling Heights, MI) to play the Falcons in a Macomb Area - White bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Utica Ford won 43-37 in their recent non-league bout against Lake Shore (St. Clair Shores, MI)

Next up, the Ramblers play the Cousino Patriots (Warren, MI) in a Macomb Area - Blue bout, on Monday, January 9. Fraser will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 61-53 league win over Anchor Bay (Fair Haven, MI).
