Southern Choctaw Indians (Gilbertown, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Fruitdale Pirates (Fruitdale, AL), 64-39 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Southern Choctaw upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Indians travel to Thomasville (Thomasville, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 10-7.
Next up, the Pirates play the Washington County Bulldogs (Chatom, AL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Fruitdale will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 66-53 league loss to Chickasaw (Chickasaw, AL).
