Maine High School Basketball - George Stevens Academy thwarts Sumner

The George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME) basketball knocked off the visiting Sumner Tigers (East Sullivan, ME), 56-42 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Narraguagus (Harrington, ME). The Knights go into the C North test with a 2-7 record.
The Tigers now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Shead for a non-league test on Monday, January 9. Sumner will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 42-32 non-league win over Deer Isle-Stonington (Deer Isle, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 3-4.
